Macy
Urso
While growing up ocean-side in Cocoa Beach, Florida, Macy Urso developed a love of all things song and dance. Macy started singing straight from the womb and dancing at the ripe age of three; she hasn’t yet stopped either. She decided very early on that she would be a musical theater performer, and now, she’s making those dreams come true in her final year at Oklahoma City University, pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Theater.
During her collegiate career, Macy has developed a major passion for teaching private voice lessons through her own virtual studio MacyTeachesVoice. At OCU, she also fostered a love of choreography, and now has choreographed multiple musicals (The Little Mermaid, [title of show]). When not teaching or performing, Macy loves baking, reading, water-coloring, and (quite obviously) being near the ocean.
Macy has had the privilege of performing twice with Kelli O’Hara and Sutton Foster in the A Night of Broadway concert series, choreographed by Eric Sciotto. Macy has also performed in many OCU productions, including Octet (Velma) and RENT (Mimi Marquez). Now, Macy is finishing up her senior year at OCU while looking forward to her future as a performer!
